In high school football Thursday night, the Byrd Yellow Jackets welcomed a pair of starters back to the lineup and watched them take down Green Oaks 41-12 in a non-district game at Lee Hedges Stadium.  Starting quarterback Deuce Caston and running back Tyson Hardman, who missed the last two and four games respectively, accounted for four-first half touchdowns in the win.

At Independence Stadium, North DeSoto rolled past Huntington in a District 1-4A game, 54-18.  Delmontee Hall had a night for the ages---the senior ran for three touchdowns, returned a kick 90 yards for another score and also threw a touchdown pass to lead the way. Huntington committed seven turnovers to hurt their cause.

North Webster destroyed Mansfield, 48-6 in a District 1-3A tilt. 4-star running back Devin White had 3 touchdowns on 91 yards rushing. He also added a pair of interceptions from his linebacker spot.

Grambling slipped past Homer 24-20 at Eddie Robinson Stadium in a District 1-1A game.
