Dallas has brought in Matt Cassel to help prop up their quarterback situation with Tony Romo on the shelf for at least 8 weeks after suffering a broken clavicle last Sunday.

The Cowboys traded a seventh-round pick in the 2017 draft to Buffalo for Cassel and a fifth-round pick in the 2017 draft. The idea is to bring Cassel in this week as the third-quarterback behind starter Brandon Weeden and backup Kellen Moore.

Expect Cassel to move into the backup role behind Weeden after the newcomer learns the Dallas playbook.
