Houston climbed into a first place tie with the Angels in the American League West with a 10-5 win over Los Angeles last night in Minute Maid Park.

Jose Altuve was the key cog, knocking in a career high five runs.  The halos opened the game with three runs in the top of the first only to see the 'Stros knot it up in the home half of the second inning, thanks largely to a two-run shot from Chris Carter.

Collin McHugh gutted through five innings to get the win, his third straight to improve to 12-5. The Angels were without Mike Trout, who is listed day-to-day, (Aren't we all?) with a wrist injury.
