Can you say - nail biter! That word is truly an understatement for what took place in Auburn, Alabama on Saturday night as the LSU Tigers edge past the Auburn Tigers 12-10.

But after Saturday's close win, does LSU really deserve the #2 ranking in the nation?

Saturday night's game featured a LSU team that was completely rattled on all cylinders. Maybe it was the atmosphere of going into another SEC stadium as a visitor, or maybe it was because of "new" quarterback Zach Mettenberger's first real test of the season. Regardless, it showed as Mettenberger fumbled twice, at crucial times, in the first half.

The running game for both teams ran into a brick wall, having been shut down on many plays. If you were a punter in this game, you may have been a hero!

On the topic of LSU's future ranking for this week, expect it to drop one or two slots. The Georgia BulldogsFlorida State Seminoles, and Kansas State Wildcats (upset Oklahoma on the road) all had HUGE victories on Saturday, which may sway the experts to put those teams above LSU.
