With all of the talk about LSU Football needed to win the recruiting battle on the I-10 corridor, this one has to be a blow.

The top running back recruit in Louisiana is from a school smack dab between Lake Charles and Lafayette, in Jennings. Where the high school where you can literally SEE I-10 from the parking lot. Here's what happened according to the Louisiana Radio Network:

"In recruiting news, Travis Etienne, a four-star running back out of Jennings High School, has committed to Clemson over LSU. The announcement came the same day linebacker Jacob Phillips flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to LSU."

Oh, but there's more. When he said he’ll sign with Clemson, he also said he'll "play in the real Death Valley." A comment that may come to haunt him if LSU has anything to say about it.
