Founding members of The Beach Boys will reunite for a 50th anniversary tour and new album on April 27, 2012.

The Beach Boys tour Begins in New Orleans, Louisiana at the 2012 New Orleans Jazz Fest.

Surviving members of the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and David Marks are reuniting for a 50th anniversary tour in 2012 that kicks off at the New Orleans Jazz Fest.

Hit songs such as "California Girls," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "Surfin' USA," "I Get Around," "Good Vibrations," "Barbara Ann" and "Help Me Rhonda" painted California as a surfing playground in our imagination.

This great band was born in Hawthorne, California in 1961. At the very beginning, the Beach Boys consisted of three teenaged Wilson brothers: Brian, Carl and Dennis, their cousin Mike Love, and school friend Al Jardine.

A neighbor of The Beach Boys, David Marks, joined the group in 1962 during their first wave of hits on Capitol Records; he left the group in late 1963.

In 1965, Bruce Johnston joined the band when Brian, the band's keyboardist and principal singer, retired from touring to focus on writing more songs and producing. Brian eventually became distracted from the group. His brothers Carl and Dennis are now deceased.

Mike Love and Al Jardine have sustained the Beach Boys for several decades. The 50th anniversary will reunite Brian Wilson with Love, Jardine, Johnston and Marks.

The Beach Boys have started recording songs for a new album which will include several reissues.

I'm glad they are going to get back together "And Do It Again".
