Home field advantage might be a cliche in every other situation, except in the Tiger Bowl.

LSU travels to Jordan-Hare Stadium to take on Auburn in this year's annual Tiger Bowl today, which should be bad news for LSU. Both teams come into the match-up undefeated but LSU has an uphill battle as this game tends to be dominated by the home team.

The LSU Tigers have been dealing with a little bit on the injury front lately. LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron says Austin Deculus will start at right tackle. Adrian Magee started the season at right tackle, but he’s out with an apparent leg injury.

Another story line centers around LSU quarterback Joe Burrow who told reporters after last week's win over Southeastern Louisiana that he doesn't plan to slide when running.

He laughed it off with the media, but he's not likely to laugh it off in his first SEC game against the Auburn defense. So it will be interesting to see if Auburn has used that quote as "motivation" this week.

If LSU is going to break the trend of home team dominance today, they'll need Burrow to perform incredibly well under center. Auburn can put up points, which they probably won't be able to do easily against the LSU defense, but they will get theirs, so Burrow will be asked to be ready to answer every time.

You can catch the game on 1130AM across Shreveport and Bossier today, with kickoff set for 2:30pm.
