Thanks, Haughton from Operation Santa Claus [Gallery]

KWKH took the morning show on the road to the Haughton Brookshires for Operation Santa Claus.   Thank you to everyone who came out with a donation of toys and cash.

A very special person brought by some V-tech educational toys for babies and toddlers and a much coveted Cabbage Patch doll.  A very special thanks to Bristol's mother and Bristol's riding companion, Mikey.

Bristol is program director and afternoon deejay for our sister station,  K 94-5.  And Mikey was a stray she took in who had wandered on to the property of Townsquare Media.  He's named for Mike the Tiger! He was so cute in his holiday sweater.

So many cool toys were donated this morning including two remote control police cars, Build-A- Bears, and Barbies.

We took in about $1, 100 in cash, too, and we certainly appreciate those donations rivaling what we collected at Friday's Brookshires remote at the Mansfield Road  store.

If you haven't yet had the blessing of making a donation, come by our next remote,  which is tomorrow morning from 7-9 at The Joint Chiropractic Place on Youree Drive.

Look for the KWKH van.  We're still about 500 children behind. Tomorrow is our last Operation Santa Claus remote and then Thursday is  the Barney Cannon Smile Run.

That's the day we'll take your new toys to a couple of local hospitals here in Shreveport/Bossier and deliver them to sick children.

I'm still looking for a "J.R. Ewing" out there who can write a big $1,000 or $2,000 check to Operation Santa Claus as a tax write-off.

Or how about a Jed Clampet.   He's probably way more generous than J.R.  We could use a really big donation  as we wind down the last week of this year's Townsquare Media Operation Santa Claus.
