Spring training in 2014 for the Texas Rangers has been marked by injury. The latest injuries to befall the Rangers is the loss of two starters.  Second baseman Jurickson Profar and catcher Geovany Soto will each miss at least ten weeks.

Soto will require surgery on his right knee.

Profar requires rest for a torn muscle in his right shoulder.

The Rangers will begin regular season play against the Phillies, a week from today.
