The Bulldogs picked up a win over the rival Northwestern State Demons 7-2 Tuesday night.

Louisiana Tech's Kody Neel got the Bulldogs on the board first following a two-run double in the bottom of the 1st inning. Tech scored four runs in the frame to take an early 4-0 lead.

The 'Dawgs did not look back. They scored three more runs in the bottom of the 7th inning, to make the score 7-1.

The Demons' Cort Brinson brought home Todd Wallace after his double down the right field line in the top of the 6th.

Northwestern State was able to squeeze in one more run in the top of the 8th when Matt Baca singled to center to send home Matt Farmer.

Out of the seven pitchers the Demons used in the contest, Dillon Crain was tagged with the loss. Crain allowed three hits, three walks, and four runs.

The Bulldogs get their 19th victory of the season, while the Demons drop to 15-38 on the year.
