The nationally ranked LSUS Pilots Baseball team wasn't playing around in Tuesday's Cross-Town rivalry with Centenary, winning 16-0 with a season high 20 hits.

The 10th ranked LSUS Pilots baseball team swept Southwest in a Monday double-header in New Mexico.

Two former Byrd Yellow Jackets and a state champion from Evangel will join Al Cantwell's club in 2014. Last season the Pilots finished with an NAIA national ranking.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Kym Barthel's walk-off bunt single with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 9th inning lifted the no. 2 seed and 11th ranked LSU Shreveport Pilots to a 2-1 victory over the no. 5 seed Point Skyhawks on Tuesday evening at Harrison Field in the Opening Round in the Montgomery Bracket.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The 11th ranked and 2-seed LSU Shreveport Pilots came from behind to eliminate the 4-seed Judson Eagles from the Opening Round (Montgomery Bracket) with an 8-5 win on Tuesday afternoon to stay alive in the tournament.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The 11th ranked LSU Shreveport Pilots trailed by eight runs after the first and fourth innings but rallied back to tie the game at 10 in the 7th inning only to fall short 14-10 to the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers, the 3rd seed in the Montgomery Bracket of the 2014 Baseball National Championship on Monday afternoon.

David Diaz of LSU Shreveport was honored as the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for Feb. 3-9.

Three in a row!  The LSUS baseball team has won the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament... three years in a row!  The Pilots also won three games in a row to take the title!  The Pilots, as conference tournament champions, have a 40-16 record and still have more baseball to play.
