LSU defeated the University of Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday September 7th in Tiger Stadium 56-17 and subsequently moved into the Top 10 national rankings.

The LSU Tigers beat the Arkansas Razorbacks Friday 20-13 in Fayetville, AR. The big play of the game was in the second quarter when Zach Mettenberger passed to Jarvis Landry. Landry made a one handed catch in the back of the end zone to score.

Les Miles and the LSU Tigers hushed up all that hype about Texas A&M freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel on Saturday when they walked away with a 24-19 victory.

A 50-yard scoring run by LSU Tigers' #33 running back Jeremy Hill captured the attention of everyone in Tiger Stadium Saturday night. Hill scored two touchdowns for LSU causing the South Carolina Gamecocks to suffer their first loss of the season and a 23-21 victory for the LSU Tigers.

We all know that the LSU Tigers had a great football season in 2011. I thought it would be fun to go back and look at photos of some of the best games of the season.

After all the disgusting headlines out of Penn State dominating the sports world this past week, it was good to return to the field with some actual football. And the Top 25 gave us plenty of excitement to discuss.

No. 1 LSU ran for two touchdowns, passed for two more and posted its largest margin over the No. 17 Gators in 40 years, 41-11, on Saturday afternoon in Tiger Stadium.
