Les Miles

LSU's 2011 season will be remembered for challenging Les Miles' crisis-management skills over and over again. It could also go down as the greatest season in the history of a program that has been around since 1893.

So,  I actually made it to the gym yesterday,  you know the one - Fitness World on Industrial Loop in Shreveport.  It was actually pretty crowded with folks trying to get that last minute workout -  running on the treadmill,  walking up and down on the stairmaster and lifting with the Nautilus weight machines.

Death Valley is everything it's cracked up to be.  The hype really is not hype at all, but instead is an electric experience that's unforgettable.   The LSU Tigers chalked up another impressive win at Tiger Stadium Saturday for homecoming against the Western Kentucky "Big Red."

Nick Saban and Les Miles. Both are regarded as premiere football coaches.  Saban the former LSU head coach, versus the current, Miles. Jim Hawthorne- who has now been the “Voice of the Tigers” for 30 years- knows full well (and better than most) what type of coaches Saban and Miles are.

The LSU Tigers continue to prepare for this weekend's opening game of the season against third-ranked Oregon. LSU and Oregon open the 2011 college football season on Sept. 3 with the kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Arlington, Texas in the Cowboys Classic. Hear the game live on KWKH AM 1130.
