This is the fourth consecutive Thursday game for the Byrd Yellow Jackets. Kick-off is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at Airline Stadium. The game is being broadcasted on 1130 The Tiger.

The Byrd Yellow Jackets opened the 2013 regular season and won Friday's home non-conference game against Zachary by a score of 58-21 at Lee Hedges Stadium. It was the first-ever meeting on the gridiron between the two schools. Listen to the game live on 1130 The Tiger with Charlie Cavell

The Byrd Yellow Jackets advanced to the regional round of the Class 5A playoffs before falling, 38-21, to the eventual state runners-up Barbe Buccaneers in Lake Charles.

It was a dramatic come-from-behind win for Byrd over Haughton. Haughton High School QB James Almond fumbled the snap trying to spike it and the Byrd Yellow Jackets recovered for a 27-21 victory over Haughton Friday night.
