Despite a devastating weekend loss to Alabama and the of criticism being heaped upon Coach Les Miles by media and fans alike, one former player says it wasn't an unimaginative game plan that led to LSU's 30 - 16 loss.

Ex-LSU lineman T-Bob Hebert, now a sportstalk host on WWL in New Orleans says that Miles wan't out-coached, but the Tigers certainly were outplayed:

"...all the various social media feeds I am required to watch were inundated with 'Les Miles sucks' and 'terrible play calling' themed messages.  While this isn’t a surprise, I find it frustrating, as I feel these comments completely miss the point as to why LSU got dominated offensively.  LSU didn’t lose because of their game plan.  They lost because they got dominated up front."

Then T-Bob answered critics who say that LSU should have thrown the ball:

"You can’t suddenly change your offense in the middle of a season.  A power running team doesn’t wake up one day and suddenly decide they are going to run the spread."

And does this mean that the Tigers' season is a loss?

"As disappointing as this game is, the LSU Tigers season is not over.  Now I don’t mean that they still have a chance of making the SEC and national championship because while I recognize it is still mathematically possible I don’t expect it to happen.  This was essentially an elimination game and LSU got eliminated."
