Records released yesterday show that Superdome officials were warned in October there could be a loss of power during the Super Bowl.

In December, Superdome officials rushed to replace faulty equipment spending nearly a million dollars to upgrade their electrical system.

The dome’s management company, SMG, and Entergy of New Orleans, the dome's power supplier, released a joint statement Tuesday saying they would hire a third party investigator to help figure out what caused the power failure.
