A two vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 527 just east of Johnson Koran Road has  claimed the life of a Stonewall woman.

State Police report that a 2003 Chevrolet Impala driven by 22-year-old Sidney Brunson of Doyline was headed west on LA 527 when it was hit from behind by a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 29-year-old Corey Howell of Elm Grove.

Both vehicles left the roadway. The SUV rolled over ejecting  45-year-old Stephanie Morgan of Stonewall who was not buckled up.

State Police issued this statement: "evidence discovered through the crash investigation indicated that prior to the crash the two parties had just met for a drug transaction that later lead to a dispute and the vehicle crash."

Morgan was transported to University Health where she died as a result of her injuries.  Howell was arrested for Vehicular Homicide, Possession of Schedule II CDS, and Resisting by False Information.  Brunson was arrested for Possession of Schedule II CDS with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Both Howell and Brunson were booked into the Bossier Parish Jail following the arrests.

The crash remains under investigation.
