The Shreveport City Council will vote today on whether or not to spend 5.3 million dollars for asphalt overlays through out the city. Currently, the plan is to fix 23 roads, most of which are in District B and Downtown.

Councilman Jeff Everson says that the city wants to get the most out of their money and the streets downtown have the amounts of traffic and are in the most need of repair. Some of the roads on the list for repairs include Crockett street, Fairfield Avenue, St. Vincent, Southern Avenue, Marshall Street, and Missouri Street.
