SNL Preview: Peter Dinklage Talks ‘Game of Thorns’ Role as Tyrone
Following a few weeks’ rest, SNL will spring ahead with Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage making his first official hosting turn, and you know what spring means: Winter is coming. You know, eventually. In a roundabout sense. Anyway, the first official promos are here!
The first Peter Dinklage promos for SNL’s April 2 outing of course drop the requisite Game of Thrones references, first discussing New York’s blooming spring, and later as Cecily Strong bastardizes her nerd cred. In between, Dinklage fawns over musical guest Gwen Stefani, even getting in a shot at Batman v. Superman.
The Game of Thrones and one-time 30 Rock star previously appeared opposite Bobby Moynihan’s “Drunk Uncle” back in 2013, while Stefani has appeared four times (once technically with No Doubt, two others with Eve and Akon).
Game of Thrones Season 6 itself will premiere on April 24, sure to be the source of a sketch or two on Dinklage’s April 2 hosting, so check out the promos again above.
