There's a reason they call LSU "DBU"...

The LSU Tigers have produced so many high-level Defensive Backs that the program gets to gloss itself with that nickname. Usually it's not cool to nickname yourself, but in this case, they've earned it, and after today, they keep earning it.

From Shreveport's Calvary Baptist, Andraez "Greedy" Williams just staked his claim to being the next great cornerback at DBU. He did that enfatically by claiming his spot on the third-team All-American list.

The redshirt-Freshman was LSU's lone representative on the All-American teams, meaning Devin White (from North Webster High School) and Arden Key did not make the cut. Both joined Williams on the All-SEC first-team defense.

When LSU kicked off their season against BYU, Williams was looked at as a "replacement" player, getting the start out of need instead of desire. But after getting his first pick against BYU, he let his play earn his playing time. When he picked off Tenn-Chattanooga with a diving catch, it solidified that LSU had another great one.

Williams was a 4-star recruit from most high school recruiting services, and signed with LSU early on. He was a top-15 recruit in the state of Louisiana in the 2016 class.
