Shreveport SPAR and Fit for Life Annual Hershey’s Track & Field Games

Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation and Fit For Life, are hosting the annual Hershey’s Track & Field Competition.

It's this Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Lee Hedges Stadium located at 6115 E. Kings Highway in Shreveport.

The meet begins at 10:00am. The competition is open to boys and girls and is divided into 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 age divisions. Participation in the competition is free.

Applications are available at your nearest recreation center or online at www.mySPAR.org. Late registration will be allowed on site on the date of the event from 9:00 – 9:30am.

The Hershey’s Track & Field Games have involved millions of youngsters from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the 10 provinces and 3 territories of Canada.

It is solely sponsored by The Hershey Company and partnered with the National Recreation and Park Association, Athletics Canada and National Association for Sport and Physical Fitness. Hershey's Track & Field Games has served as a launching pad for several top Olympic athletes and World Champions.

Completed applications should be brought to the SPAR Athletics Office located at Wildwood Park,7401 Jewella Avenue (next to Westwood Elementary School) between 9:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Copy of birth certificates must be attached to the applications.
