KTBS reports that a Shreveport Police Officer was accidently shot in the leg Friday Evening by a fellow officer. The officer was taken to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.

The officers were responding to a call when they approached a man who was walking a pitbull. When the Pitbull started to charge that's when they said one officer pulled a gun and began firing but one shot missed and that's when the fellow officer was shot.

So far no charges have been filed but police say they're still investigating the incident but they expect it to be ruled an accident.
