Police say 65-year-old Larry Boykin was responsible for placing counterfeit parking citations on privately-owned vehicles parked improperly on the parking lots of Shreveport businesses.

Detectives with the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force caught up with Boykin at his Wynnewood Road home and took him into custody. Following interviews, Boykin was charged in the incident.

Authorities also seized a vehicle used by Boykin during the alleged impersonation. The vehicle, a white, older-model Chevy Trailblazer, was equipped with red and blue LED lights, a dashboard camers, and with 'Citizen Assistance Patrol' on it.

Anyone who may have received one of the phony citations (pictured above) can disregard it.
