For 35 years now, Shreveport Crime Stoppers have been working with police to help solve crimes in the area. In 2015 alone, they received 653 calls, netted 16 arrests and closed 23 cases. The group also paid out over 15 thousand dollars for information that lead to arrests.

According to Jim Taliaferro, who has been a part of the organization for a decade now, Crime Stoppers wouldn't be as successful as it is without help from law enforcement, media and the public.

If you want to help the organization, they will be holding their 9th Annual Flapjack Fundraiser at the Applebees on Bert Kouns April 16th from 8 AM to 10 AM.
