See Aerial Footage of Storm Damage from Two EF-1 Tornadoes Sunday in East Texas [VIDEO]
The National Weather Service has confirmed that there were two EF-1 tornadoes that struck both Gregg and Rusk Counties this past Sunday afternoon in east Texas while surrounding areas in both Texas and Louisiana were hit by damaging straight-line winds.
My brother lives in Longview, TX and because of power outages promptly came to see us to get coolers to help save the food in his deep freezer and to stock up on ice. As of this morning, more than 4,000 still didn't have power according to the SWEPCO outage map.
According to KLTV, clean up is still underway and the American Red Cross opened a shelter for victims who were displaced by the storms Monday. KLTV published the video featured above showing the damage in the aftermath of the tornadoes and the images are truly chilling. Our prayers are with the victims of the storm.
