New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is reportedly on the trade market. Tonight, he responded to the rumors on the Saints coaches show on WWL 870-am.

"My plan is definitely to be back here. Shoot, I've got four more years on my contract here. And I plan on honoring that," said Payton.

Earlier in the day, Payton held a conference call with reporters at the Saints facility, rather than meet the media in person, despite being upstairs.

He was surly when asked about the trade rumors from multiple reports speculating a potential move with the Los Angeles Rams who currently are without a head coach, claiming he didn't want to answer questions about a story that isn't truthful.

During the 2016 season, Payton told media reports that then defensive coordinator Rob Ryan being fired were false, when in fact, Ryan had been fired and Payton confirmed the news later in the day.
