Rich Lamb, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shreveport's Sci-Port Discovery Center, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the financially beleaguered museum, it's current situation and plans for the future.

Lamb, who has been a member of the board of directors since early 2015, became board chairman in December of last year. He tells KEEL listeners that he "doesn't want to misrepresent" or " say that the future of Shreveport's downtown museum "is grand," But, he says, "We're making small strides, not only in reopening Sci-Port, but in identifying what happened."

Citing financial difficulties, Sci-Port closed in early September of 2017, one of them being an annual payroll in excess of $2 million. When they closed, 72 employees lost their jobs. The museum partially reopened in early March.

Hear Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty weekday mornings 6 til 9 on 101.7 / 710 KEEL, or by downloading the free KEEL app, sponsored by Office Furniture Source.
