The New Orleans Saints have sent Pro Bowl guard Ben Grubbs to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 5th round draft pick.

By trading Grubbs, the Saints save $3.6 million of cap space in 2015, and will save $10.3 million of cap space in 2016.

Grubbs spent the last 3 seasons in New Orleans, earning a pro bowl nod in 2013.

As the offseason continues for the Saints, general manager Mickey Loomis is clearly willing to wheel and deal.

The Saints added center Max Unger to the squad in the Jimmy Graham trade, and still have All-Pro guard Jahri Evans on the roster.

Backup center/guard Tim Lelito could be a potential replacement for Grubbs, or the Saints could sign a veteran in free agency, acquire a guard in a trade, or address the position in the draft.
