It was refreshing sight to see in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Friday night.

And, it had little to do with the football game occurring on the field.

While many fans celebrated and rejoiced the Saints 17-13 victory over the Chiefs and return of the Saints on the field, the bigger celebration was on the sidelines.

Friday night's game marked the return of the most popular head coach in Saints franchise history, Sean Payton.

This was the first time Payton stepped foot on the sidelines calling plays for the Saints in a little over 15 months.

The last time Payton was on the sidelines was on a cold January evening in San Francisco where the Saints bowed out of the postseason prematurely to the 49ers in 2012.

If that was not refreshing enough, this was the first time Andy Reid stepped on the sidelines not wearing anything with a dark green color, representing the Philadelphia Eagles.

Reid, was fired from the Eagles in the off season and was immediately picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lastly, the game on the field was pretty exciting to see as well. Ark-La-Tex native Luke McCown played most of Friday's game and shined.

McCown, was 18/28 and threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns.

Drew Brees played a few series and was 7/10, throwing for 65 yards.
