The New Orleans Saints couldn't get it done in the dome on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers and their new toy, quarterback Colin Kaepernick! The Saints lost only their 2nd game of the last seven, 31-21 to the NFC West leading 49ers (8-2-1.)

The Saints had a 14-7 lead with less than a minute to go before halftime when Drew Brees threw his first of two pick sixes.  San Fran tied the game going into halftime and took over the momentum.  Drew Brees had three TD passes, five if you include the two he threw to 49er defenders.

9er QB Collin Kaepernick had a solid game in only his 2nd NFL start, running for 1 touchdown and throwing for another.

The Saints have a tough schedule ahead, they take on the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football.
