The Saints came out of the gate scoring, as they scored two touchdowns early in the first quarter en route to their 28-20 win over the Oakland Raiders.

But, the Raiders certainly did make matters interesting in the second half.

In a surprise to many Drew Brees played most of the game, but if you ask any Saints fan, they will tell you how refreshing it was to see Brees and see him do so well.

For the contest, Brees (14/18) threw for 202 yards and was responsible for one of the Saints touchdowns in the first quarter.

On the other side, former LSU Tigers quarterback Matt Flynn started for the Raiders.

Flynn (12/16) threw for 124 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Sebastian Janikowski late in the second quarter.

The Saints would go onto defeat the Oakland Raiders 28-20 Friday night.

Next week, the Saints head to Houston to take on the Texans.
