Road Rage Leads To Shooting At Wal-Mart On Mansfield Road
According to Shreveport Cpl. Marcus Hines, the Shreveport Police are investigating an early morning shooting in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Mansfield Road in Shreveport.
During a press conference this morning, Hines stated that this shooting apparently started from a road rage incident between two white SUVs. Early in the Shreveport Police investigation, it sounds like an incident on Mansfield Road spilled over into the parking lot, then inside the Wal-Mart store, and ended in the parking lot with one of the men becoming physical with the other. A passenger from one of the SUVs pulled out a handgun and shot the other driver twice.
The victim was taken to University Health with life threatening injuries. The other driver, and his passenger, have both been arrested. Charges are pending as the incident remains under investigation.
Related to the case, Cpl. Hines said that there was a 6-month-old child found at the victim’s home unattended.
