Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon took the weekend to reassure fans that conflicts with creator Justin Roiland weren’t to blame for Season 3’s delay, and now intends to show it. The two will apparently convene for a special Rick and Morty live event this week, and our curiosity is piqued.

Not that Rick and Morty Season 3 promotion has followed any particular pattern thus far, but Adult Swim announced that Harmon and Rick/Morty voice Justin Roiland will be holding a “spontaneous evening of Rick and Morty” on Thursday, June 29 at 9:00 P.M. on AdultSwim.com. We’d love to tell you more about the nature of the event, but that’s literally the entire announcement (h/t UPROXX):

This Thursday, join Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for a LIVE, spontaneous evening of Rick and Morty

It all starts at 9p EST (6p PST) on AdultSwim.com

Don’t miss it. Or be late. Trust us.

We’re wading knee-deep enough into “summer” that Harmon and Roiland could hopefully provide a more specific update on Season 3’s premiere, but the two aren’t known for traditional rollout. Since the April Fools premiere, we’ve seen Roiland getting drunk in the studio, Harmon going deep on the show’s existential significance, and the title adventurers crossing over with Alien: Covenant.

Perhaps the two merely intend to drink and philosophize together, or finally get that knock-down drag-out fistfight out of their system. We’ll know for sure later this week, so stay tuned for the latest on Rick and Morty Season 3.
