RG III-20: Redskins’ Robert Griffin III Throws For 320 Yards In Win Over Saints [VIDEO]

In the start of a "new", six game era for the New Orleans Saints where their coach is the interim Aaron Kromer, and with the news that the suspensions to two of their most important players has been overturned, the Saints looked to simply click the refresh button.

But, the Redskins new QB Robert Griffin III was ready to click the forward button on the Saints, and that he did.

Despite RGIII throwing for 320 yards, and 2 touchdowns, the Saints quarterback Drew Brees didn't have a bad game outside of his two crucial interceptions which doomed the Saints and put the icing on the cake for the 'Skins.

1st quarter:

7:05: The 'Skins got on the board first, kicker Billy Cundiff puts a 37-yard field goal through the goal posts.

3:49: Drew Brees throws the first of his 3 touchdowns, heaving a pass to Jimmy Graham.

3:28: Redskins' Pierre Garcon answers back with a 88-yard pass from RGII for a touchdown!

End of the quarter: 10-7 Redskins.

2nd quarter:

11:33: Redskins' Aldrick Robinson catches a pass from Griffin III, and runs to the end zone for a 5-yard run for a touchdown.

6:08: Billy Cundiff slices another field goal through the goal posts.

0:40: Saints' Courtney Roby grabs a blocked punt return and runs the ball into the end zone for a touchdown.

End of the quarter: 20-14 Redskins.

3rd quarter:

11:24: Redskins' Alfred Morris runs the ball into red zone territory for a 1-yard touchdown.

7:10: Billy Cundiff kicks and makes yet another field goal, this one for 37-yards.

1:50: Saints' Garrett Hartley makes a field goal of his own for 21-yards.

End of the quarter: 30-17 Redskins.

4th quarter:

10:59: Billy Cundiff's leg has been in great use in this game, making a 45-yard field goal.

6:19: Saints' Lance Moore catches a 33-yard pass from Drew Brees and runs it in for a touchdown. Darren Sproles chips away at the Redskins' lead by running the ball in for a 2-point conversion.

3:18: Perhaps the dagger in the heart of Saints', Alfred Morris runs the ball into the end zone for a touchdown from 3-yards out.

2:25: Darren Sproles catches a 2-yard pass from Drew Brees in the end zone for a touchdown.

End of the quarter: 40-29 Redskins.
