Former LSU Tiger tight end Tyler Edwards was found dead in his truck Saturday night of a gunshot wound, suspected of being self-inflicted according to a report from KNOE 8 News in Monroe.

Police were reportedly called to the scene Saturday night around 9:30, where they found Edwards body. He was 26 years old.

Edwards, a standout high school star while at Ouachita high, played for LSU from 2008-2012, redshirting his freshmen year.

Tyler Edwards saw time in 39 games with the Tigers from 2009-2011. He didn't play i 2012 after being ruled ineligible.

He older brother, Eric Edwards, starred at LSU earlier in the decade, winning a national championship with the team in 2003.
