Since the beginning of play, after the All-Star break, the Texas Rangers have played losing baseball.

This week in New York, they were presumably caught in the bright lights of Times Square, and not on the baseball diamond in the Bronx.

After getting their hearts broken in three consecutive games at Yankee Stadium, the Rangers would've done anything for a victory.

With a pretty consistent pitcher in Dustin Holland on the mound for Texas, all they could've done was hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Top of the 1st inning (Rangers): Adrian Beltre brings in an early run, sending home Michael Young and Josh Hamilton. 2-0 Rangers.

Top of the 6th inning (Rangers): David Murphy sends home Josh Hamilton. Catcher Craig Gentry brings in a cheap run via a fielder's choice, scoring Adrian Beltre. 4-0 Rangers.

Bottom of the 6th inning (Yankees): Derek Jeter sends home Ichiro from his single to center field. Nick Swisher cashes in another run in this series, scoring Derek Jeter! Ex-Atlanta Braves great, Andruw Jones belts a bomb to left! It's not over: Russell Marting singles to center, bringing in a run. 5-4 Yankees.

Top of the 7th inning (Rangers): David Murphy ties the game with a key double to right sending home Michael Young. Craig Gentry is at it again, hitting a clutch double to send home Adrian Beltre and David Murphy! 7-5 Rangers.

Bottom of the 7th inning (Yankees): Ex-Ranger great Mark Teixeira cashes in on a cheap run himself, sending home Raul Ibanez via a fielder's choice. 7-6 Rangers.

Top of the 8th (Rangers): Adrian Beltre extends the lead via a sac fly, sending home Elvis Andrus. Geovany Soto singles to left, allowing Josh Hamilton to cross home plate! 9-6 Rangers.

Top of the 9th (Rangers): Elvis Andrus singles to center, allowing Nelson Cruz to score. 10-6 Rangers.

Regardless of Holland's 5 2/3 innings of work, he wasn't credited with the win. Instead it went to the young Tanner Scheppers who gets his first Major League victory!
