According to the Baton Rouge Advocate and many other sources, LSU defensive tackle Quentin Thomas will miss the entire 2014 season due to a torn biceps.

The redshirt junior out of Breaux Bridge, La, who made nine tackles in 11 games for the Tigers in 2013, was a projected starter alongside sophomore Christian LaCouture in LSU’s defensive line. Thomas’ biceps injury was suffered Wednesday at practice, and he’ll likely need six months of rehab.

Heading into the 2014 season, defensive tackle was an area of concern for LSU due to the departures of Ego Ferguson and Anthony Johnson from a year ago. Now, redshirt freshmen Frank Herron, Maquedius Bain and Greg Gilmore will compete for Thomas’ starting spot.
