Pelicans Ready for Preseason Home Opener Against Heat

The New Orleans Pelicans will play their preseason home opener Wednesday night against the World Champion Miami Heat.

The New Orleans Arena has been newly renovated and has a completely different look to go with the new team name and colors. The renovations are part of a $50 million upgrade that is scheduled to be done in two phases. The Interior renovations began in May and have just been completed, the exterior renovations begin next spring.

The Pelicans will host their season opener on October 30th against the Indiana Pacers, and New Orleans Arena will host the NBA All-Star game in February.
