It's back to school time in the Ark-La-Tex and while many of us will be trying to figure out exactly what a map pencil is, the rest of us will be enjoying family friendly activities, live music, a slice of Shreveport's musical history and some just might choose to push themselves to the limit in the 37th annual River Cities Triathlon!

    The 37th River Cities Triathlon and Ironfish Kids Triathlon

    Over 1,200 folks are expect to compete in this year's 37th annual River Cities Triathlon at Cypress Black Bayou Park and Recreation Center Saturday. The grown folks will get started at 7:30am and the kids will begin at 8am. Please be careful if you're driving in this area tomorrow morning because there will be a TON of bicyclists on the road!

    Finale of the Louisiana Boardwalk Summer Series

    Friday night is the finale of the Louisiana Boardwalk's Summer Series. From 6-8pm there will be big sales celebrating back to school and the Louisiana sales tax holiday, live music, activities for the family and the final clue in the treasure hunt for a $1,000 Louisiana Boardwalk gift certificate.
