    State Fair of Louisiana

    As we move into the final days of the 112th annual State Fair of Louisiana, now is the time to hit the midway if you haven't already! With so many things to see and do, you'll regret it if you miss it! You especially don't want to miss Sunday's annual Veterans and Military Appreciation Day with military, active and retired, and their families receiving free parking and admission. At 2pm our Veterans will be honored by a playing of the National Anthem, followed by a Veterans parade down the midway.

    Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker

    Head to the official state theatre of Louisiana, the Strand Theatre, in downtown Louisiana this Saturday at 3pm for a special production of Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker. This is a great way to start the holiday season for the entire family with tickets starting at $28.

    If you've always been entranced by the story of Romeo and Juliet, see the modern day version this Friday night at the Strand Theatre with a production of West Side Story with the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra.     2018 Coca Cola Holiday Truck Tour

    The Coca Cola Santa is an iconic figure in marketing and the 2018 Coca Cola Holiday truck tour is coming to Bossier City this Saturday from 2-6pm at the Louisiana Boardwalk. The truck will be in front of Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro and will be available for photo ops. They will also be handing out free samples. Don't forget that Santa will be making an appearance at Bass Pro Shop starting at 4:30pm after he parades through the Boardwalk!

    Krewe of Justinian 4th Annual: Midway to Mardi Gras 5K

    Join the Shreveport Bar Association and the Krewe of Justinian for the 4th Annual Midway to Mardi Gras 5K 'Run for the Beads' this Saturday starting at Rhino Coffee on Southfield. The fun run begins at 7:30am with the 5K at 8am. Race day registration is $35 with proceeds benefitting the Shreveport Bar Foundation. The first 300 participants receive a specialty bead.
