After a jarring loss to McNeese State in which NSU receiver Ed Eagan set a school record for receiving yards, the Demons will face new Southland Conference member Abilene Christian on Saturday. I talked with NSU head coach Jay Thomas on Thursday to preview the upcoming matchup and discuss Ed Eagan's record setting performance from last week.

NSU Head Coach Jay Thomas speaks to Demon fans and the media every Thursday in Shreveport at Superior Steakhouse.  The Demon Quarterback Club Luncheon happens every Thursday at noon and Demon fans are invited.

I asked Coach Thomas about receiver Ed Eagan's 10 catch, 238 yard performance and he gave insight into what makes Eagan a special player.  Coach Thomas also previewed the upcoming matchup with Abilene Christian.  ACU is a new member of the Southland Conference, but they along with NSU are the only two Southland members with FBS wins this season.
