After playing the first three weeks on the road, Nicholls State returns to John L Guidry Stadium this afternoon for a match-up against 11th ranked Sam Houston State.

The Colonels are coming off a 20-10 loss to McNeese State on the road. While the Bearkcats also lost last week, falling to North Dakota 24-23. But, Sam Houston have won 11 straight over Nicholls.

If Nicholls wants to break that streak, they're going to have to keep Sam Houston superstar Davion Davis in check. Davis, an all Southland Conference Wide Receiver, on NFL Draft radars, and has found himself on various season-award watch lists too. Davis hasn't exploded yet this year, with only 13 catches for 103 yards over his first two game. He does have a touchdown in the air this year too. But Davis is the kind of player that can change a game by himself if given a chance.
