The first quarter of the NFL Season is over, and after the first 4 of 16 games, the New Orleans Saints have wrapped up with a 3-1 record.

Yesterday, the Saints beat the New York Giants 33-18, in East Rutherford.

Saints running back Alvin Kamara made a big statement in the final game of fellow running back Mark Ingram's suspension. With Ingram ready to return next week, Kamara ran for 134 yards on the ground, and three touchdowns. Kamara also had 34 yards receiving.

Drew Brees had his most "human" game of the season, throwing for 217 yards and no touchdowns.

But the Saitns defense had their best performance of the year, allowing only 299 total yards. The Saints also sacked Eli Manning three times, and forced two fumbles.

At 3-1, the Saints are in sole possession of first place in the NFC South. Carolina was on bye this week, while Tampa Bay was beat by the Chicago Bears 48-10, and Atlanta dropped to 1-3 after a 37-36 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

New Orleans next game will be against the Washington Redskins, who were off this past weekend.
