New Orleans saints players were surprised earlier this week when they heard that Coach Sean Peyton could become a free agent at the end of this season.

The saints clearly were not ready to hear that the NLF voided a 3 year contract extention Peyton signed in 2011.

Saints linebacker Scott Shanle said., "There really hasn't been a whole lot of talk about it amongst the team just because we are at the point now where every week there seems like there is something new to distract us, so people are like the hell with it, we'll wait to figure it out when the time comes.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said it was voided because of some language in the contract.

Saints' quarterback Drew Brees says he expects Peyton to continue coaching the Saints.

"I absolutely believe he'll be back," Brees said. "But I think I know as much about it as you guys do it seems like."
