New ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Photo Gives Us Another Look at Evangeline Lilly in Costume
A new year means new movies, and Disney is staying on top of it with sneak peeks at some of their big upcoming sequels — including Ant-Man and the Wasp, which sees (as you can guess from the title) Evangeline Lilly suiting up to follow in her vanished mother’s super-footsteps with a cool suit of her very own. And the latest photo from the sequel to the 2015 Marvel movie delivers on the promise with another peek at Lilly’s super sleek Wasp suit…oh, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man is there too, of course.
Disney’s photo preview of their new 2018 releases includes several sneak peeks at major upcoming sequels, including The Incredibles 2, Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, and Ant-Man and the Wasp:
The new image features Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne wearing the Wasp costume that once belonged to her mother, Janet van Dyne — played in the sequel by Michelle Pfeiffer. As you can see, the costume looks a little different from the one we saw at the end of the first Ant-Man movie, and it looks as though Paul Rudd’s costume has gotten a bit of an upgrade, as well.
Ant-Man director Peyton Reed returns to helm the sequel, based on a screenplay by Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari and Paul Rudd. Ant-Man and the Wasp also features returning stars Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, David Dastmalchian and Judy Greer, along with MCU newcomers Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins and Randall Park. It hits theaters on July 6.
