More Than Trophy on the Line for NSU in Battle for Chief Caddo with Stephen F. Austin

The NSU Demons will take on Stephen F. Austin on Saturday in the annual "Battle For Chief Caddo." This year, there is much more on the line than just the largest trophy in college athletics. The Demons are 6-5 and have a chance at making the FCS playoffs.

If the Demons can win against the Lumberjacks, they'll have a chance at an at-large bid in the FCS playoff tournament.  The Demons can force the committee to make some tough decisions if they can improve to 7-5 overall and finish in third place in the Southland Conference.

Coach Thomas also talked about the performances of quarterback Zach Adkins and receiver/specialist Ed Eagen against Nicholls as well as what the "Battle for Chief Caddo" means to his players and the program.
