Mitchell Guist ‘Swamp People’ Star is Dead [VIDEO]

Law Enforcement Deputies in Assumption Parish have confirmed that Mitchell Guist from the show "Swamp People" died this morning.

Sheriff Mike Waguespack said "the incident occurred around 9 a.m. in St. Martin Parish along the Belle River". Waguespack added, "Mitchell Guist suffered a fall in the boat shortly after it launched into the Belle River".

According to WBRZ.com, Witnesses said people on the boat waved others over for help, and Mitchell Guist was having what appeared to be seizures. They called 911 and a responder trained in CPR, but attempts to resuscitate the reality TV star were unsuccessful.

The cause of death is not known.
