Merle Haggard is Getting Out of the Hospital Hospital

Merle Haggard will be be on his way home to California soon. WMAZ in Macon, Ga. reports that the Hag’s condition is much better and he’ll be released from the hospital shortly.

Someone in Haggard’s touring group is relaying information to the TV station. KWKH has learned that Merle’s wife and family are in town visiting with him at the hospital.

Merle became too ill to perform just before a Tuesday night show in Macon and canceled all remaining January tour stops to recover from pneumonia.

A number of those shows will be rescheduled; WMAZ reports that the Macon date will be made good on April 25.
