Graham Walker, President and CEO of Minden's Fibrebond Corporation, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his work as part of Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins' advisory committee, a group tasked with shaping short and long term goals for the city.

"Members of Perkins' transition advisory board met Feb. 11 to receive the first reports from eight committees created under the mayor's "Future of Shreveport" plan, according to a press release sent by Perkins' transition nonprofit, Future of Shreveport.

The eight committees cover public safety, education, infrastructure, entertainment, quality of life, technology, community partners and economic development within the city. They are expected to create recommendations for Perkins that can be implemented as early as the second quarter of 2019, according to previous reports from the transition team."

Members of the committees have met once and are scheduled to meet again on February 21 and 22.
