Sure, New Year's Eve is the kick off most people look forward to each year, but if you've been bitten by the Mardi Gras bug, the real kick off you look forward to in the new year is 12th Night!

12th Night marks the eve of Epiphany or Three King's Day. It's traditionally celebrated 12 days after Christmas, but in the Ark-La-Tex, we generally celebrate on the Saturday night as close to 12 days after Christmas as possible.

12th Night in Northwest Louisiana is party where all of the area Mardi Gras krewes come together to celebrate. This year's party is Saturday, January 7th at the Bossier Civic Center. The party is open to the public. Tickets are $40 and bottomless drink cups are available for $10. And just because I know this is a question my husband would ask, yes, that includes the good stuff like Jack, Captain and Crown! The revelry begins at 6:30pm and dress is Mardi Gras casual, meaning you'll be fine in jeans, but don't be surprised to see people in trash jackets (decorated tux jackets) and purple, green and gold tutus! You'll also get the chance to meet and greet all of the area krewe's new royalty. Let the good times roll!
